The WRT54GL is produced by Linksys as a router that is specifically made to run LINUX operating system based 'firmware'. (Firmware is software 'imbedded' into a device, be it a washing mashine, your car, or as in this case - this router.)

This preconfigured version shipped by Chillifire has Chillifire's firmware version installed. This router is ready to go - all you have to do is connect it to power and to your broadband modem. Done.
You do not even need to have a computer for this. Yes, you can be completely computer illiterate and still get it working.
