So how do you get your hotspot started? It is really quite simple and just takes few steps:
1. Preparation - Get Broadband and a supported Router
Your ISP will provide you with a broadband modem or modem/router combined device. You will need a specific router to run your Chillifire hotspot on. You can connect the router that will run the Chillifire hotspot to either device. We have tested a number of different devices and know they work well, namely

2. Create and activate your Chillifire Account
You need to create an account with Chillifire that will allow you to register and run your routers with us. You can do this on our Sign Up page. Once created it needs to be activated - an email will be sent to you with a link to activate the account. You will also receive an email with your account's user name and password, as well as a third email with a hotspot test user you can use to test your hotspot once you have successfully loaded the software on your router.
3. Download and install Chillifire Software on your Router
Downloading our software is free and there is no set-up fee or licensing charge for you - ever. Instructions are easy, step-by-step with lots of pictures to guide you through.

4. Optional - Configure Pricing and other Options for your Hotspot
After step 4 your router is fully configured. However, you now may wish to configure different payment options, different pricing plans, add your logo and tag line to the screens your customers do see, etc. There are lots of options to make a hotspot really YOUR hotspot. Again, we have assembled tutorials that help you through the configuration of the most popluar options.
